• Test 3-phase power sequence and 3-phase motor rotation
• Phase sequence / motor rotation tests can be performed separately or simultaneously
• Entirely solid state for reliability
• On / Off switch to ensure maximum safety during operation
• Visual indicators for rotation and phase sequence
• 100 to 660 VAC @ 45 to 70 Hz
The Mitchell Instrument Deluxe Kit MMJ-MiT763K performs a critical function when setting up a motor prior to power-up. When installing a motor, determining the rotation direction is critical to the operation of the motor. A phase rotation meter compares the phase rotation of two different 3-phase connections. Three leads, labeled "A," "B," and "C," are connected to the test unit's side with the two red and one green indicator lights. Three other leads are labeled the same but are connected to the opposite side of the test unit, which has three yellow indicator lights ‘L1, L2, L3’. The meter will indicate whether the motor hookup should be with a clockwise or counterclockwise power line connection. Correct motor installation is dependent on this proper phase hook-up.
