- Bright red voltage indicator in tip
- Suitable for detecting voltage at socket outlets or against wire insulation
- CAT III 1000 V
The Megger VF2 Voltage detector is a compact pen-style instrument used to identify the presence of live AC voltages from 100 V to 600 V at 50 or 60 Hz. Voltage is capacitively detected, signalled on the VF2 by an audible warning device actuated simultaneously to the red LED.
The VF2 incorporates a flashlight torch. Extended battery life is achieved by the use of a bright-white LED.
The VF2 is used to identify the presence of AC voltage at socket outlets, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, wires and cables. It can identify breaks in conductors by tracing along the cable from the source to the point where the indicator no longer illuminates. It can also identify a blown fuse while in circuit.
